Scientific name: Bocoa Prouacensis
Brazilian ebony, also known as Boco, Ironwood, or Wamara ebony, is among the densest woods in the world, with a density of around 1.3 g/cm³ (or about 1300 kg/m³).
Depending on the origin of the trunk and how the boards are cut, its color can vary: deep black, black veined with white, or clearly contrasting black and white.
This wood is distinguished by its ability to achieve an exceptional polish and remarkable resonance. It is a high-quality alternative to ebony, while offering a finer and more homogeneous grain.
